DXN (ASX: DXN) has secured a $12.2 million contract with an undisclosed artificial intelligence (AI) compute operator for the design, engineering, manufacture, delivery, installation and commissioning of a 2 megawatt AI high-performance computing (HPC) modular data centre.
The turnkey contract will combine purpose-built DXN AI modules with an upgrade of existing onsite infrastructure through a single high-density data hall, integrating power, cooling, fire detection and suppression, security and building management systems.
Detailed design and long-lead procurement will commence immediately, with the customer’s site expected to be operational in the new year.
The new contract follows the $8.8 million deal DXN signed in June with an undisclosed US-based neo-cloud operator for the delivery of a 1.36MW HPC modular data centre comprised of expandable architecture engineered to support the customer’s larger campus-scale AI compute ambitions.
Accelerating Global Demand
Managing director Shalini Lagrutta said the new contract reflected accelerating global demand for modular, rapidly deployable, high-density AI compute infrastructure.
“This win demonstrates that the AI HPC module platform we have productised over the last three years is translating into wins across offshore and domestic markets—delivering 2MW of high-density graphics processing unit (GPU) capacity on a single site is a meaningful uplift in scale for the product line,” she said.
“This is the first phase of a potentially larger deployment, and delivering this phase well places DXN in a strong position for future phases.”
This is the second AI HPC contract in as many months for DXN, and is materially larger than the first.
Global Data Centre Market
The global data centre GPU market was estimated at approximately USD$99 billion in 2025 growing at approximately 14% per annum, while GPU-as-a-Service global revenue is forecast to reach approximately USD$134 billion by 2030.
The AI data centre infrastructure market is forecast to grow at 27.5% per year through to 2032 and AI inference—the deployment of trained models to serve real-time applications—is the fastest-growing segment of GPU infrastructure demand.
DXN’s prefabricated AI HPC module range is designed for the AI compute market, fully tested prior to shipment and deployable within eight months from contract signing.
The company’s investment in additional manufacturing capacity aims to ensure production capability keeps pace with demand across the GPU and AI HPC markets.
