Rane (Madras) Ltd (RML) has announced the successful completion of the acquisition of the friction business of Hindustan Composites Ltd (HCL). The business transfer agreement was signed on June 30 and was subject to customary regulatory approvals and other closing conditions. Sanathan Textiles has commenced commercial production from its expanded technical textiles yarn manufacturing capacity at its Silvassa facility. The expansion doubles the company’s technical textiles yarn capacity from 9,000 MTPA to 18,000 MTPA and takes total installed capacity across all three yarn verticals for both locations (Silvassa and Punjab) to 488,250 MTPA. Niva Bupa Health Insurance Company has received an order from the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India concerning non-compliance with applicable expense of management limits for the financial year 2024-25. Walchandnagar Industries has received a significant domestic order worth ₹30.53 crore plus GST from the Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC) for India’s human spaceflight programme, Gaganyaan. The scope of the contract entails the fabrication, proof pressure testing, and supply of all three segments of the HS200 motorcase. Key terms of the agreement specify a contract execution period of four years from the date of the contract.
