Symbiotec Pharmalab, a leading pharma and biotech company, plans to raise ₹1,757 crore through initial public offering.

The issue will be a combination of a fresh issue and an offer for sale.

The price band has been fixed at ₹938-988 per equity share, valuing the company at around ₹6,350 crore at the higher end.

The IPO will open for subscription on Monday. Bids can be made for a minimum of 15 equity shares and in multiples of 15 shares thereafter.

The issue comprises a fresh issue of equity shares worth up to ₹150 crore and an offer for sale of shares aggregating up to ₹1,607 crore.

Promoter Satwani Holdings LLP will be offloading ₹144 crore worth shares, while investors Rosewood Investments and Motilal Oswal Private Equity-backed India Business Excellence Fund – III will be selling shares worth to ₹988 crore, and ₹475 crore, respectively.

Rosewood Investments and India Business Excellence Fund – III are the largest shareholders in the company with 34.78 per cent, and 24.16 per cent stakes, respectively, while promoters had 36.4 per cent shareholding as per the red herring prospectus filed on August 18.

The Indore-based Symbiotec is a research and development-driven, pharmaceutical and biotechnology company with capabilities across three platforms-organic chemistry, biotechnology and complex injectables.

The company operates as a contract development and manufacturing organisation for specialty pharmaceutical and nutraceutical companies globally, offering products and services across the three platforms — organic chemistry, biotechnology and complex injectables. It also manufactures its own products across three segments.

It claims a global leadership position in corticosteroid and steroidal-hormone active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) in volume terms, with a global volume market share of 38.2 per cent and 23.8 per cent, respectively.

The company has two operational API manufacturing facilities with a maximum chemical synthesis capacity of 584.67 tonnes , fermentation capacity of 300 kilolitres (KL). Further, it has commissioned two additional manufacturing facilities at Ujjain and Mhow, Madhya Pradesh, and it in the process of expanding biologics capacity by adding a proposed dedicated 14 KL fermentation capacity for biologics manufacturing in Ujjain.

Symbiotec Pharmalab has reported profit of ₹110 crore for the financial year ended March 2026, growing 13.6 per cent from ₹97 crore in previous fiscal. Revenue soared 15.6 per cent during the same period to ₹869 crore from ₹752 crore.

The equity shares are proposed to be listed on both the BSE and NSE on September 1.

JM Financial, Avendus Capital, Motilal Oswal and Nomura Financial are the book-running lead managers to the issue, while MUFG Intime India will be the registrar.
