Phoenix Copper Ltd shares jumped on Monday afternoon after the company announced it had awarded contracts for updated studies on its Idaho mine project to metallurgist Deepak Molhatra, Hardrock Consulting LLC, and Valley Science & Engineering.

Phoenix Copper, a metals exploration and development company, saw its shares jump 11% to 0.65 pence in London.

The company said the studies, which are aimed at updating the Empire project’s mineral reserve and pre-feasibility studies, will factor in the rise in metal prices to provide up-to-date economic data for future workstreams at the mine.
