PetroAmir Holds Output at 973 bbl/d, GANOPE Backs PetroSafwa

PetroAmir Chairman Mohamed Abdel Raouf reviewed the company’s operational performance, reporting average production of 973 barrels per day (bbl/d) during the fiscal year (FY) 2025/26.

He highlighted efforts to sustain production levels despite the natural decline in well productivity and rising associated water production from crude oil wells.

The remarks were made during the general assemblies of PetroAmir and PetroSafwa, which reviewed the companies’ operational results for the previous fiscal year.

As part of its efforts to maintain output, PetroAmir carried out maintenance operations on 13 wells and tested new geological formations, including the Lower Rudies formation in the ASE-6 well, the Belayim/HF formation in the Geyad-9 well, and the Upper Bahariya formation in the North Dabaa-2 well.

Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC) CEO Salah Abdel Kerim stressed the importance of increasing production at the current stage, noting that Egypt has a large market and development plans that provide strong support for production growth.

Meanwhile, South Valley Egyptian Petroleum Holding Company (GANOPE) Chairman Samir Raslan called on Chinese partner North Petroleum International Company (NPIC) to strengthen its support for petroleum activities at PetroSafwa.

PetroAmir and PetroSafwa are Egyptian joint-venture petroleum operating companies between NPIC and Ganope, in which NPIC has a major, operator role. NPIC is a wholly owned Egyptian subsidiary of the Chinese Zhen Hua Oil.

 PetroAmir is the operating company for the North West Gemsa concession in Egypt’s Gulf of Suez. While, PetroSafwa operates in the Safwa concession area, including the North Dabaa and Safwa fields.
