Patria and Norway have agreed on the purchase of 20 Patria 6×6 armoured vehicles under the multinational Common Armoured Vehicle System (CAVS) programme. The order comprises C2 Command and Control variants and Kongsberg PROTECTOR RS4 Remote Weapon Stations, as well as related support, training and spare parts. The agreement also includes options for an additional 40 C2 vehicle variants and RS4 Remote Weapon Stations. Deliveries are scheduled to begin already in 2026.

“Norway’s procurement is another important step in strengthening common protected mobility capabilities in the Nordics and across the wider CAVS community. By building on shared requirements, interoperable systems and common equipment such as the Patria 6×6 platform and RS4 weapon station configuration, participating countries can improve operational cooperation, simplify logistics and sustain capabilities more efficiently throughout the life cycle. For Norway and the Nordic countries, CAVS offers a concrete way to deepen defence cooperation and security of supply while delivering modern capability quickly,” says Jussi Järvinen, Executive Vice President of Patria’s Protected Mobility business area.

“This agreement represents an important step in the continued development of the CAVS programme, and the ability to deliver modern, flexible and robust capabilities to the Norwegian Armed Forces. For Norway, this represents more than an investment in materiel. It is part of our continued efforts to strengthen operational capability, enhance interoperability with our allies, and contribute to a more sustainable and efficient development of defence capabilities. In this process, Patria has been an important and valued partner. Your experience, technical expertise and ability to deliver integrated solutions, have contributed significantly to the development of the CAVS programme”, says Gro Jære, director at Norwegian defence materiel agency (NDMA).
