MSM Unify, the global platform connecting students, recruitment partners, and universities across markets on six continents, on Monday announced the appointment of Rishi Kapoor as Chief Financial Officer.

The appointment comes as the company advances its plans for a potential Initial Public Offering (IPO) on Indian stock exchanges, paired with an international listing, targeted for fiscal year 2028.

In his new role, Kapoor will oversee financial strategy, fundraising, investor relations, and financial operations across MSM Unify’s global markets, including North America, Europe, MENA (Middle East and North Africa), India, Africa, and Australia. He will also lead the company’s IPO readiness in India and its broader dual-listing strategy across Indian and international markets.

Kapoor brings more than two decades of finance leadership experience across edtech, IT, pharmaceuticals, and supply chain businesses.

Over the course of his career, he has led the raising of more than $135 million in equity and debt capital, successfully executed multiple acquisitions from origination and due diligence through transaction closure and integration, and played a key role in IPO readiness for high-growth companies by coordinating with key stakeholders, including investment bankers, prospective investors, stock exchanges, and regulatory and compliance authorities.

That direct experience with India’s IPO process is central to his mandate at MSM Unify, where he will lead preparation for a listing on Indian exchanges alongside the company’s broader public-market ambitions.

Before joining MSM Unify, Kapoor served as Chief Financial and Business Officer at Biodeal Pharmaceuticals Limited, where he played a key role in strengthening the company’s capital structure and preparing the business for a potential public listing. Prior to that, he spent six years at GirnarSoft Education Services (CollegeDekho.com) as Chief Revenue Officer, where he was involved in multiple equity and debt fundraising initiatives and led several strategic acquisition and integration projects.

He is an alumnus of IIM Calcutta and a chartered accountant by professional qualification. He also holds a Master of Commerce from Himachal Pradesh University. In addition, he is a Lifetime Certified Independent Director registered with the Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA).

“Rishi understands what it takes to build a business that lasts. He has done this before in education, at scale, and through multiple stages of a company’s path to the public markets. As we expand across new geographies and prepare for a listing that reflects both our India roots and our global reach, his experience in financial strategy, capital raising, and disciplined execution will be invaluable to us,” said Sanjay Laul, Founder, MSM Unify.

The appointment comes as MSM Unify continues to expand its presence across North America, Europe, the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), India, Africa and Australia, connecting students with universities through a growing network of recruitment partners and institutional relationships built over more than a decade of operations.

Commenting on his appointment, Kapoor said, “MSM Unify is solving a real problem for students and institutions around the world and doing so at a scale few companies can match. Having spent a significant part of my career in education, I understand how important strong financial leadership is in building a sustainable and scalable business. I look forward to working with the team to strengthen the company’s financial foundation and help shape its next phase of growth.” “India is where a large share of the world’s outbound students originate, and it is also where MSM Unify’s next chapter is being built. Bringing in a CFO with experience in IPO readiness sends a clear signal to our institutional partners, agents and investors that we are building for scale and the long term, not simply for the next quarter,” said Rohit Kumar, Founding Member and President, India Campus Business, MSM Unify.
