Knights Group Holdings PLC on Friday announced it will acquire the commercial and private wealth service branches of the legal services firm Moore Barlow LLP for £27 million.

Knights, a legal and professional services company headquartered in Newcastle-under-Lyme, England, will buy a portion of Moore Barlow’s business representing approximately 70%, or £30 million of revenue.

The other service lines of Moore Barlow, namely personal injury, clinical negligence and court of protection, will be sold separately after the acquisition.

Moore Barlow reported total revenue of £45 million and profits distributable to members of £13 million for the 12 months until April 30, 2026.

The deal expands Knights’ reach across the south of the UK and follows a series of other acquisitions in Essex, Kent and Sussex and Wales. Most recently, on Monday, Knights announced it will buy THP Solicitors Ltd, a law firm that operates in the Thames Valley, for £4 million.

Commenting on the Moore Barlow deal, Chief Executive Officer of Knights David Beech said: “The acquisition gives us significantly greater scale across the south east and south central regions, and further strengthens our expertise in real estate, private wealth and landed estates.”

The deal should be finalised on November 1, 2026.

Knights shares were trading 0.3% lower at 175.45 pence in London on Friday morning.
