Saudi Aramco, Saudi Arabia’s state-owned energy giant, has signed agreements and a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with French companies with a potential combined value exceeding $3.7 billion, as part of efforts to strengthen supply chains, advance industrial technologies, and enhance operational efficiency.
The agreements were announced during the French-Saudi Investment Roundtable Meeting, attended by Aramco President and CEO Amin H. Nasser.
The collaborations are expected to support Aramco’s supply chain ecosystem and operational continuity while creating economic value for both Saudi Arabia and France.
The agreements cover project support, capacity building, technology transfer, innovation, and supply chain resilience.
Key agreements include a corporate procurement agreement for drilling equipment and a purchase agreement for Oil Country Tubular Goods (OCTG), which are used in oil and gas drilling operations.
Meanwhile, Aramco Digital, Aramco’s digital technology arm, signed an MoU establishing a framework for potential collaboration in industrial artificial intelligence (AI), virtual and digital twin technologies, and related applications, including their potential use in the oil and gas sector.
The collaboration is also expected to contribute to the development and deployment of advanced digital technologies across Aramco’s operations.
In February 2026, Aramco signed a non-binding MoU with Microsoft to advance industrial AI and digital transformation, including digital infrastructure and workforce development. The collaboration also aims to accelerate the adoption of AI technologies across Aramco’s operations.
