Crude oil prices fell by ₹18 to ₹8,286 per barrel in the futures trade on Friday amid weak global trends.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude oil futures for September delivery slipped by ₹18, or 0.22 per cent, to ₹8,286 per barrel in a business turnover of 3,477 lots.
Analysts said the prices fell after participants offloaded their holdings amid weak demand in the spot market.
Globally, West Texas Intermediate crude was trading 0.58 per cent lower at $86.33 per barrel, while Brent crude declined 0.35 per cent to $93.45 per barrel in New York.
