Synectics PLC on Monday announced it has secured a new contract with Eni Spa for its Kutei floating production, storage and offloading project in South East Asia.
The Sheffield, England-based provider of advanced security and surveillance systems said it expects the £1.4 million contract to be delivered in the first quarter of 2027.
The contract will see Synectics provide its flagship Synergy platform, security systems and explosion-proof infrared cameras, capable of imaging and enhanced visibility in low- and no- light conditions, to the Rome-based oil major’s FPSO project.
“Bringing Synergy and third-party systems together within a single operational environment will provide greater situational awareness, supporting faster, more informed responses to security, safety and operational events,” the company said.
The award of the contract demonstrates “the progress against Synectics’ strategy to extend its market reach,” the company said.
Chief Executive Officer Amanda Larnder said the contract marked “another strong win for Synectics in a strategically important market and demonstrates the continued opportunities we see across the global Energy sector.”
“The contract brings together our Synergy platform and COEX camera technology and demonstrates the strength of combining end-user relationships with trusted local partners to extend our reach and create further opportunities for growth,” she added.
Shares in Synectics were up 3.6% to 191.70 pence on Monday morning in London.
