Honor Turbo Debuts With 8,560mAh Silicon-Carbon Battery and Triple IP Ratings — BigGo Finance

Honor has officially listed a new mid-range smartphone, the Honor Turbo, on its website for the Eurasia region. The device stands out in its segment with a massive 8,560mAh silicon-carbon battery, a feature typically reserved for premium handsets, paired with 80W wired fast charging support.

The handset does not support wireless charging, but the large capacity and fast wired speeds position it as a battery-life-focused option for users who prioritize endurance. Despite packing such a large cell, the Honor Turbo remains relatively slim at 7.76mm thick and weighs approximately 196 grams.

The smartphone is built around a 6.79-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2,640 by 1,200 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 handles processing duties. The octa-core chipset is manufactured on a 4nm process node and brings mid-range performance with improved efficiency.

Camera hardware includes a 50MP primary sensor on the rear, joined by a 5MP ultrawide shooter. A 16MP front-facing camera handles selfies and video calls. On the software side, the Honor Turbo ships with MagicOS 10 based on Android 16, giving buyers access to the latest Android features out of the box.

One of the more unusual aspects of the Honor Turbo is its durability credentials. The device carries IP66, IP68, and IP69K ratings for dust and water resistance. The IP69K certification is particularly notable, indicating protection against high-pressure, high-temperature water jets, a specification rarely found on mainstream mid-range phones.

Additional features include NFC for contactless payments, stereo speakers, and an in-display fingerprint sensor. Honor is offering the device in black, green, and beige color options.

According to CNews, the Honor Turbo is priced at RUB 36,990, or approximately $447, in Russia. It is being sold in a single memory configuration with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.

The launch comes as Honor continues to expand its product portfolio across different market segments. Earlier this week, the company also unveiled the Honor Pad X10 Pro Max, a 13-inch tablet with a 10,100mAh battery, signaling a broader push into devices with extended battery life.

For consumers in the Eurasia region, the Honor Turbo’s combination of a large silicon-carbon battery, fast charging, and robust ingress protection could make it an appealing option in the competitive mid-range smartphone market, particularly for users who need a device that can withstand demanding environmental conditions.
