Skincare brand Be Clinical on Monday said it has raised ₹21 crore in a seed funding round, led by venture capital fund Sauce, to support product innovation and expand its clinical skincare portfolio.
The funding round also saw participation from V3 Ventures (Verlinvest SA) and a group of angel investors, including Mokobara founders Sangeet Agrawal and Navin Parwal; SVP & Managing Director for Greater China & North Asia at Reckitt, Arjun Purkayastha; and Shaunak Chirayu Amin, the company said in a statement.
The company plans to utilise the fresh capital to strengthen its research and development (R&D) capabilities, expand the clinical skincare range, scale manufacturing capacity and support expansion into new markets and geographies.
“For me, the ₹21 crore we have raised is less about the capital, and more about the responsibility that comes with that belief. It gives us the ability to invest deeper in R&D, strengthen our manufacturing and clinical capabilities, build a stronger team, and take Be Clinical to more consumers across India,” Hemangi Dhir, Founder, Be Clinical, said.
