Christie Brinkley is proving her genetics is strong in new photos with her daughter.

The 72-year-old model and her 28-year-old daughter Sailor Brinkley Cook attended John Mayer’s live performance for SiriusXM in New York on Wednesday, Aug. 26 looking like twins.

Cook stunned on the red carpet in a denim on denim look with jeans and a denim jacket, paired with a black tank top showing off her midriff.

Brinkley also sported denim jeans, but chose to pair it with a loose black tank top with lace designs on the neckline and sheer cutouts throughout, which she paired with a green jacket.

Hello! Magazine shared video of the two of them at the event on their Instagram, featuring the two of them smiling for cameras and waving at fans.

“Wow no way can Christie be 72 more like 22😍,” one fan wrote in the comments section, while another added, “Two beauties ❤️.”

Fans recently mistook Brinkley for her daughter in the comments section of her Instagram post featuring a carousel of photos of herself posing next to a vintage truck to promote her new zero-sugar prosecco line.

In the photos, Brinkley is wearing a navy blue long-sleeved top with an asymmetrical neckline, paired with matching high-waisted shorts with large gold buttons, showcasing her toned legs.

“I thought you were your daughter for a second!” one fan wrote in the comments section, while another added, “Please dear lord let me age like @christiebrinkley.”

Last year, Brinkley opened up about dating while on Kristin Davis’ “Are You a Charlotte?” podcast, where she revealed she and Cook were matching with the same men on dating apps, despite their 44-year age difference.

While on the podcast, she shared that her daughter signed her up for a dating app without her knowledge, and was shocked to see the results.

“[Sailor] said, ‘Mom, you’re right not to go on [dating apps] because the same guys that, you know, said yes to me are saying yes to you,’” the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model revealed.

Brinkley, who has been married four times, also shared with Davis what she has learned about relationships over the years.

“I find that what men like to do is sort of be able to find somebody… that’ll be impressed by every little thing that they do,” said Brinkley. “Like, ‘Oh really? Oh, you’re taking me to that restaurant? Ooh!’”
