J&B International (4442.TW), a sports and outdoor functional fabric maker, reported second-quarter 2026 results, with quarterly revenue, net profit, and earnings per share all reaching record highs since its listing, driven by stronger pull-in from key sports segment customers and ramping orders from premium brands. The company also disclosed that it has successfully secured a position in a major sports customer’s 2027 core product lines, with related orders beginning to ship in July, adding visibility to its forward operations.

J&B International’s second-quarter consolidated revenue reached NT$573 million (approximately $18.1 million), up 27% year-over-year and 31% quarter-over-quarter, marking a record quarterly high. Gross profit came in at NT$159 million (approximately $5.0 million), up 34% year-over-year; operating profit was NT$71.22 million (approximately $2.3 million), up 34%; net profit reached NT$52.27 million (approximately $1.7 million), up 33%; and earnings per share were NT$1.62, up 15% year-over-year. Both net profit and EPS represented the company’s best performance since its listing.

For the first half of 2026, consolidated revenue totaled NT$1.01 billion (approximately $31.9 million), up 17% year-over-year; pre-tax profit was NT$119 million (approximately $3.8 million), up 21.1%; net profit reached NT$89.45 million (approximately $2.8 million), up 7%; and earnings per share were NT$2.80. The company noted that the effective tax rate rose from 15.4% in the same period last year to 25.2%, and share dilution from convertible bond conversions also weighed on EPS growth.

Looking at the profitability structure, second-quarter gross margin reached 27.7%, operating margin 12.4%, and net margin 9.1%, up 1.4, 0.6, and 0.4 percentage points year-over-year respectively — a “triple-margin expansion.” The company attributed the outperformance of profit growth relative to revenue growth to product mix optimization and the simultaneous realization of scale benefits. Operating profit grew 34% year-over-year, outpacing revenue growth of 27%, demonstrating clear operating leverage.

By segment, the sports category’s revenue contribution rose to 57% in the second quarter, becoming the primary growth driver. Key sports segment customers continued to accelerate order pull-in, while orders from newly developed premium athleisure brand clients also ramped up concurrently.

In terms of order strategy, J&B International has been actively pursuing core product orders from major brand customers in recent years. The company has now successfully secured a position in a key sports customer’s 2027 core product lines, with related orders beginning to ship in July. Compared with typical seasonal products, core products feature larger order volumes, longer product life cycles, and higher repeat-order rates, which help enhance order visibility and operational stability while deepening the company’s collaborative relationships within brand customers’ supply chains.

Looking ahead to the third quarter, the company stated that it expects to benefit from the continued realization of core order momentum, with stable order flows from existing sports and outdoor segment customers. New customers actively developed this year are also progressively entering the shipment and revenue contribution phase, with product applications spanning athleisure, outdoor, workwear, and bag materials. As cooperation scale with existing customers expands, core product shipments ramp up, and results from new customer and new application market development gradually materialize, the company expects broader order intake and increased project development capacity to drive third-quarter performance above the traditional off-season.
