The Board of Directors of Smoltek Nanotech Holding AB (publ) announces that Magnus Andersson’s limited term as acting CEO will end when his current consulting contract expires on August 31, 2026. In order to maintain momentum in the ongoing commercialization phase, the current Chairman of the Board, Oskar Säfström, will take over as acting CEO starting September 1, 2026. In connection with this, Board member Emma Rönnmark will take over the role of Chairman of the Board. The Board will immediately initiate a structured recruitment process to appoint a permanent CEO.
Smoltek is in an intensive phase with a focus on commercial negotiations with industrial partners. By having one of the company’s major owners and the former Chairman of the Board now take direct operational responsibility, the company creates short decision-making paths and an efficient management structure that is fully focused on the commercial goals.
– I am proud of what we have achieved during my time as acting CEO, not least the capital raisings completed, and the progress made in the company’s commercialization. I wish the board and employees every success in their continued work, says Magnus Andersson, outgoing acting CEO.
– On behalf of the board, we would like to thank Magnus for his efforts during his time as acting CEO, and not least for his work on our latest capital raising. At the same time, we are very pleased that Oskar, with his strong ownership commitment, is stepping in operationally to drive commercialization until a permanent CEO is appointed, says Emma Rönnmark, incoming Chairman of the Board.
– With the explosive AI development and investments in green hydrogen, we are now in a perfect position to establish Smoltek’s technology globally. As we now enter the next phase of our partner discussions, it is important to keep up the pace in our prioritized deals and ensure strong internal focus, says Oskar Säfström, incoming acting CEO.
