Investors who put $1,000 into Nvidia (NASDAQ: NVDA) stock two months ago have gained about $109 ahead of the company’s highly anticipated earnings release.
Notably, Nvidia shares rose from $192 on June 26 to $213 by press time on August 26, delivering an 11% return despite recent volatility in the stock.

At the current price, a $1,000 investment made on June 26 would now be worth approximately $1,109. The gain comes as Nvidia prepares to report fiscal second-quarter results after the market closes today, August 26, an event that could determine the stock’s next major move.

Analysts expect revenue closer to $92 billion, nearly double the level reported a year ago. Adjusted earnings are projected to come in at about $2.09 per share.

Investors will be focused on management’s outlook for the current quarter, with consensus estimates calling for roughly $104 billion in third-quarter revenue. Any guidance above that level could provide a fresh catalyst for the stock.

Another closely watched issue is China, where Nvidia continues to assume virtually no>Despite Nvidia’s strong rally over the past several years, Wall Street remains overwhelmingly bullish on the stock and expects the company to maintain its leadership position in the AI space.
While some large technology companies have faced questions about whether massive artificial intelligence spending will generate sufficient returns, Nvidia has remained one of the primary beneficiaries of the global AI infrastructure buildout.
Meanwhile, broader factors such as Treasury yield movements, geopolitical developments, and expectations surrounding Federal Reserve policy have also influenced recent trading.
