Welspun Corp is set to witness a sizeable block deal as members of the promoter group, along with the company’s Managing Director and CEO, Vipul Mathur, seeking to divest up to 6.3 million shares through an institutional placement on the Indian stock exchanges. The transaction could raise as much as ₹1,417 crore (approximately $149 million) at the indicated floor price. Together, the stake sale represents around 2.4 per cent of Welspun Corp’s total outstanding equity.
The floor price for the transaction has been set at ₹2,250 per share, implying a discount of about 4.1 per cent to the company’s NSE closing price of ₹2,345.5 on August 25, 2026. The deal is expected to be executed through the stock exchange’s block trade mechanism on August 26.
